This is one really happening and amazing place. I would love to visit here iver and over again. All the people are so chilled out. The environment is so good. The owners are friendly and make you feel so comfortable. I cant stop blabbering about how much I loved the twin sisters and everyone I met there. Its a must visit for every traveller, you will never ever get bored of this place. Im sure to visit here again.

The ambience and lounges are great, so plenty of opportunities to socialize and talk to other guests over drinks or play pool in the lobby. The rooms are decent but definitely not fancy. I had some exposed, cracked concrete next to my bed, but it was just aesthically unappealing, didn't impede my sleep at all. Complimentary breakfast is good and filling, and there's even a rooftop boxing/workout area next to the bar. The location is also convenient and you can easily access trains and taxis.

Great location, lovely staff, cool rooftop bar, awesome facilities, and they served food also which is very delicious, super fast WiFi.. And most importantly the pods are great and comfortable.. Recommended for backpackers from all around the world :)

Great location, laidback atmosphere and helpful staff. Couldn't ask for more :) see photo for 10 bed mixed dorm.

Common spaces were large and allows for good social mixing. WiFi was decent. Staff was friendly. Private room was clean but had no windows or fan for bathroom.

Best hostel I’ve stayed in, hands down. Ning and the other front desk receptionists have the highest standards of hospitality - they even push themselves to remember your name and what you’re up to! Plus they’ve engaged with so many people that they even have British accents.
Toilets are clean and with hot water (level 2 cubicle 2), beds are so comfy with towels and really cold air conditioning provided, and the 4 man dorm I stayed in was quiet enough with curtains for privacy and cool dorm mates.
It’s also a quick motorbike (they use this app called Grab, to take motorbike taxis called Grabbike) which costs about USD .60 for a ride to the shopping centers or merdeka square.
Would recommend without hesitation and will see you guys a again!

Never gave a 10/10 before but this simply is the best hostel I've stayed in. It might not be an eye candy on the first sight but don't get fooled, it has absolutely everything! Not even talking about the gym, rooftop bar, cinema room, pool table, or the best stuff you can imagine, I'm talking about 4 different types of showers, sinks, the handles so you don't fall off the ladder when coming down from your bed, or the extra large capsules with so much space, shelves and a fan. Stay here!

Amazing welcome! Thank you Ning! The whole staff were were very helpful at every time we needed them. Pretty much expert knowledge of the area and amazing service overall. We went to "wonderloft hostel" but kept coming back in the day to "6Degrees" cause of the amazing people we met and the owner "Ning" was more than happy to see us around even though we were no longer staying at the hostel.
One thing I found really good was that Ning actually lives in the hostel so the service is personal and she is really nice, cheery and helpful. Couldn't recommend the hostel more!
If you're staying in Jakarta then stay at 6 Degrees.
Thank you Ning! 😁

not as good as last time
I had a pretty worn down mattress and we had to change the room in the middle of our stay without any notice ahead of time.
the breakfast option are running out fast and I do not recommend the bubur.
My requests were turned down everytime at first eventho they had it after asking a second time or third time.

Such a lovely place to stay. They have cats!! Unfortunately, when I was there, the toilets were full of tissues so I couldn't use them.

A little hard to find, but a great location, very friendly staff, great vibe and comfortable! The pool table is a great bonus...

Thinks has recently really changed here. Friendliness has dropped, no renovation and compared to the price you can find a better place in Jakarta. Stayed here few times in the past and currently would not recommend this place anymore.
Place need to have a renovation of the attitude.

Terrific hostel that's very well located. Their rooftop bar is a great place to meet fellow travellers, happy hour everyday from 6-8 👌
Lisa Schlageter (22/09/2017 06:12)
The accomodation was in a good condition. Although the rooms were for more people, you could have your privacy cause of curtains. Additionally you had a specific space for your backpack, which was lightened. The people who worked in the hostel were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice you had the opportunity to choose between 3 meals. In the evening it was nice to stay at the rooftop bar.

Cannot fault this hostel. Had booked a dorm room but got a private at not extra charge. The staff are great really friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped through the door. Rooftop bar and the common rooms are perfect. If I was to stay in Jakarta would definitely come again!

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere. Nice and clean. Best feature is the rooftop bar which also has happy hour 6-8. Breakfast included.

Such a fun place to hang out and meet fellow travellers. Very knowledgeable staff working there who can answer all travelling questions related to Indonesia. Highly recommend spending some time there.

Solid, cute hostel in Central Jakarta, pretty close to Gambir Station via taxi. Has a variety of private rooms and dorm style beds (pretty cheap, maybe around ~130k RP per bed in the 8 bed pod), with air conditioning and curtains for privacy in the 8 person dorm, plus outlets and lights. Pretty clean with nice decor and not far from a lot of the malls in Jakarta or the antique market, though with traffic it'll depend. Has hot water showers and decent wifi. There are two lounge areas, one of which is a nice bar up on the roof (beer only) with lots of nice seating space and a spot for grilling, and the first floor lounge which has video games, a projector, plus some other amenities. There's also a kitchen with communal fridge. They offer a free hot breakfast (choice of fried rice, burbur porridge, or fruit, nothing too fancy but filling). The owners are nice and have a few cats that hang out around the property. No elevator and rooms are all on the second floor or above, so limited access for not able bodied guests, but that's Indonesia for you. Overall, though, a really nice hostel.

This hostel gets the basics right, clean rooms, clean sheets, clean toilets and most importantly all day hot showers. It's located near great local food options, and there's a carrefour mart located nearby (750m). Not really accessible by public transport, but uber and grab is real cheap. Breakfast is not the usual bread and spread, you get to choose from complimentary nasi goreng, porridge, fruits. Can choose to pay more for other food options, but hey. It's free, so is the coffee, tea and water. Plus points for having a cat and really fast internet(fast enough for YouTube and cat videos) The dormitories are shoebox style and are roomy with plenty of head and leg space. Each shoebox comes equipped with a fan, a reading light and power plugs. Rooms are air-conditioned too. My only gripe is the ladders, the ladder steps are circular (like wooden pipes) and they hurt like hell when you use then. Ps take the bottom bunk. Roof top bar and gym is overrated. But it's there if you need it. Owner is friendly and flexible, worth the price premium.

Visited this place to pickup some friends, the rooms seems comfortable and small, typical japanese capsule hotel size rooms

The place is cool and always new people to meet. Just that the breakfast options are limited, maybe provide toast?

Great hostel in the centre of the city ! Four different floors and an awesome rooftop bar ! Great staff made of local and travelers always ready to advice on where to go and what to do ! If you have time on the weekend go for the exploration of the dump village , sounds dirty but it is a really life improving adventure !

We paid 850.000 for 3 nights for a double room shared bathroom. Very clean. Warm showers. Tasty breakfast included, good decent food. Free fast internet. Very friendly, helpful staff. They helped us ring the airport for our lost luggage a few times and when it arrived at 3am they put it in front of our room so we found it when we woke up.

Great hostel with perfect social lobby and rooftop for happy hours and chilling. Friendly owners and nice nightlife places close by. Six Degrees hostel is more than suggested, it's a must!

I appreciated the roof top in the hostel

They canceled my reservation. When I arrived they told me that they are full and that I should have confirmed my booking. How could I guess that I should reply to their email in which they confirmed my reservation? I had to look for another accomodation. No help from them.

Nice service, utility and breakfast. One uncomfortable thing was
the bed. I think the bed was a little old.

Great place to discover Jakarta from. Owners are cool and can answer all questions about Indonesia. A must stay place if you're travelling through this part of the world.

Very affordable hostel with sufficient facilities. The crowd here is definitely interesting, with many seems to be on a long trip around the region. There is a rooftop bar which is opened every night, was here for the NYE countdown, which was awesome. There is also the common area in the ground floor, with a pool table, a Nintendo 64 and a small theatre room. There is also a small kitchen and fitness room with weights only. The room and beds are clean, but the lockers are really tiny. So I just leave my bag beside my bed. There is some privacy in the pods due to the curtains. Major complains for me are that the pods are a bit short (can't even sit upright in them), the common toilets doesn't have shelves for belongings and the common area isn't big enough. Wished there is 1 table at every floor.
I also went to the Old Bavatia Capsule Hostel at the back, which has a much cleaner, gender-segregated toilets and more cosy and larger common areas.
