Awesome place. Equipped with many dioramas. Nice and clean too. My daughter had a wonderful time and experience here.
A thing is some parts were under renovation so we can't see the whole place.
Some rooms also unequipped with slides so older people and wheelchairs can't go to.

We went there during fasting month, so it's just few visitors besides us.

I gave it a 5 stars museum. Maybe because it runs by soldiers. We all know how their discipline. It is tidy and neat. Superclean and organized.
Nice job, soldiers!

Its been a great collection, they try to arrange base on the history timeline. A lot of airplane keep to show. Some amphibious tanks, torpedo boat, helicopter and the first airplane in Indonesia are displayed. For sure need to renovate as their facilities are outdated. But people keep visiting this site for their collection. Keep the hood work!

Good place to learn the history of Indonesian army. They also have cafetaria, so you can enjoy some food.

The place look old and not very well maintained, but considering the admission price.. you get more then what you paid. The open space where they put the planes and some old tanks is really nice (yes the planes are not well maintained..but it still okay).

I'd love this museum since my first visit as a elementary student. But my latest visit got me upset. They didn't take care it well.. The roof is leaking, and the place for outdoor displays (plane, tank, etc) has too many dust and dirt on it. Maybe its all because they didn't have too many visitors these day.. So if you have a child, or cousin, you can take them to Satria Mandala and tell them a little about history of Indonesia.

A good place to learn about history of Indonesian military and other heroic events in the past. But unfortunately there are some information that still use the old spelling of Bahasa Indonesia and need to be updated. Ticket for local visitors costs Rp. 2.500 each (note: I visited the museum when we celebrate "Hari Kesaktian Pancasila", so I'm not sure whether that was a normal price or not).

It's sad. Foreigners are not allowed to this museum. Yet, it takes long time to get permission for it.

Arrived at 1 and was told they were closed even though it is sign posted that they are open until 2.30. The door was closed and it seemed very much closed. They said they would be reopening tomorrow at 10am. They spoke little English and perhaps it was closed early because of some special occasion. Could still walk around the grassed area out the front which featured a couple of planes, missiles and helicopters.

Must visit place if you love military history. Have the biggest and the most varied collection compared to other military museum in Indonesia.

Rizki Firbani (08/05/2017 03:44)
An educational destination. But, the cleanliness & toilet very poor

Chandra Marsono (20/04/2017 10:20)
The kids love it, but most of the exhibits are not well maintained.

Good place to relax while enjoying historical sites. They have many interesting things with high historical value from the past. Plane, helicopter, etc

subandi halim (10/12/2016 04:01)
It isn't well maintained... okay some parts at the outside are being renovated at this moment... but when you go inside there are some broken tile on the floor of the main museum that shall make you stumble if you don't watch your step especially for kids or grandpa/mas...

Yann Penduff (13/10/2016 07:19)
It's a shame this place isn't well maintained. It could be one of the nicest museums in Jakarta, but instead it's dirty and dusty. Bring mosquito repellent :)

This is a great museum if you are interested in old war and aviation items. There are several planes out back, as well as a collection of mortars and APCs. Inside, it is mostly well kept, with a variety of dioramas, guns, and other munitions.

The museum is well laid out for the most part, but could be in better shape, hence only 4 stars. Its a great day outing for the family - especially if you have young boys!

Jakes D (30/06/2016 08:44)
WOW - what a interesting experience. There is a lot of history here. I have been here twice now and each time I thoroughly enjoyed it. The aircraft section entertained me the most. The other areas give full history of Indonesia. It is really a good place to visit. try to star early as there is a lot to read and see.

Memorial museum for Jendral Soedirman and President Soekarno and also The soldiers of Indonesian freedom fighter. It's quite big and have unique Collections.

sp budi setyarso (05/06/2016 22:43)
Has collections of weapons that used by our armies during independence war. No too professionally managed.

yos Pitarso (02/06/2016 10:04)
It's good for me I like everything but lol the tire of Boeing 25 Mitchell is puncture and the peculiar Douglas DC 3 propeller rotated slow

Hanna Hadiyan (30/05/2016 02:07)
The back building of the museum feels creepy, because it is dark. They have many dioramas depicting the history, some of the man in the dioramas already toppled, some even have their lights turned off. But they have many exhibition rooms, so there's still plenty to see. They also show case the military vehicle and guns.

- The ticket price is IDR 15.000 for 2 adults and 3 children. Based on the ticket should only IDR 9.500.
- Many kids sneak in through the fences on the airplane area of museum from outside.
- The upper level in one of the diorama is completely dark but no sign indicate it was close.
- Air conditioner is not cool.

Denny Prasetyo (30/01/2016 23:18)
Free to enter the museum, they are have 2 cafetaria and you can buy some merch about armed military. The toilet is very dirty.
