This is absolutely the alternative place for you, to take your kids for going out. Not only they can have fun, but also can learn something, especially science at the same time.
Besides the on hands displays, they also have real demonstration related to science. Such as how to launch rocket, get to know chemicals and its everyday use, like nitrogen, etc.
If they need to improve on something, I really thought the place needs to have more lights, so it didn't feel a bit spooky.

a place where science can be fun. It's an alternative for short getaway, to bring your kids or nephew or even for an adult, there's alot of fun activity that you can do

PP IPTEK is a great science education centre located in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). You do need to pay for the entrance of TMII and still pay to enter the PP IPTEK. The building itself is packed with lots of science demonstration tools and dioramas. PP IPTEK is often used for school study tours.

Good and educative place for kids. Some diorama won't work and less maintained. Other is good and not bad.

Located inside of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, PP Iptek offers so many science experiments that can be experienced by all category of ages. It's a great place to learn more about science and practicing it on the spot.

Such a good place to visit. But unfortunately some of the models cant work properly. Perhaps the engineers can fix that, do some commissioning or something. Anyway, I'd love to visit it.

PP IPTEK has so many cool science installations and you can play with some of them. This place also has friendly guides that are always ready on the spot giving you information and enlighten about installations. Don't hesitate to ask questions to them to solve all your curiosity. You just have to pay for the entrance ticket, and enjoy the whole entire museum. For "Sepeda di Atas Kabel" you have to pay extra 2,200 IDR.

Actually, this is a great place for science-lover, especially kids. This place had many show room & science related activity. Sadly, not exposed well. With better promotion this place is as worth as PetroScience in Malaysia.

So many scientific demonstration for kids, it got updated regularly. If you visit TMII, then this place is a must to visit. Very affordable entrance fee.

A good and interesting place for children's education of science. But I feel the low maintenance makes the visitor uncomfortable. It'll be better if they can carry some private foundation & company as sponsors

Even on holidays, the place is relatively quiet. Maybe only few people interested specific in science. The place could be awesome with better maintenance.

Nice concept museum that combine learning and playing. Unfortunately some side seems a little creepy for children. The staffs need more attractive so it could be more fun.

This place has so much potential. Exhibiting many interactive scientific displays that also asks and explains interesting facts about the exhibits - with some of them explaining in very well written English.
However the exhibits are very dated and sometimes not very well maintained. Despite the large floorplan of the building, the categorising of the exhibits are a little confusing and mixed up into a certain corner of the building.
The building was also a little dark, thus not giving the visitors confidence in interacting with the exhibits, or entering some of the specialised sections of the building that should offer further experience in the museum.
I should say that with very good maintenance and updated exhibits, IPTEK could easily rival the great science museums throughout the world. One could see that this was the plan it aspired to be. Such a shame that it couldn't realise that goal just yet.
