It's one of the rare museums that we have here in Indonesia, Jakarta. It's not the typical historical museum but more towards art. It also keeps updating it from time to time. Last I went there, it was the famous yayoi kusama's artwork and it was incredible. I can't say I'm an art expert but even so, the art have plenty of emotions and wonders in it. Simply amazing. The museum itself is well layout, not the biggest museum I've been to but still great regardless.

I've visited this for the second time already (for different exhibition). This museum never failed to engage their visitors. Too bad that I came on public holiday or weekends, where it's jam-packed with various type of visitors queuing. I'd recommend to come on weekday so you could really enjoy and immerse yourself into those arts. And also don't forget to book the ticket online if really decided to come on holidays!

This contemporary art museum is a proper one. I went here for Yayoi Kusama Artwork few days ago, amazed and amused. It was not a spacious area, but not small as well. The registration system was great, I recommend to buy it online since it's easy and faster, and go here by grab or public transport. It would be difficult for visitors to find a parking lot here.
The museum is family friendly. Toilets, gift shop, and coffee station are all provided. It is such a good activity for a weekend or when on holiday.

The museum itself is literally a national treasure! International quality exhibits with international quality facilities. Take all the photos you want for your social media content but please abide with the rules and treat the arts with respect they deserve. PS: by becoming a member you will skip the long queue!

Lots if arts displayed. They provided a bunch of photo spot. Please be reminded that they dont allow you to touch anything not even leaning against a wall. Or else the guard will tell you off (nicely). But tbh i was expecting more arts to be displayed (at least more than one floor). Best to come here early since the place wont be too crowded especially if you want to take pictures. They have this infinite room with cool insides. But they only limit 2 person to go in and they will time 45secs to go inside infinite room.

A really nice place to enjoy arts, there are many collections and they are divided into different sections. I came here on Saturday, it was pretty crowded. But the overall experience was very nice. The most memorable collection was the infinity room.

Definitely taking Indonesian museums into another level. It sets the bar high. Very well layout (similar to the ones you can find abroad), makes it a new plus educative place to visit during weekend rather than shopping mall. Would recommend weekdays if you want to visit infinity room. Must visit place while you are in Jakarta.

Top Notch Museum, highly curated. The director gave tour around the museum, and he seemed to know details of each painting. The staffs are well trained and very strict to "naughty" visitors who tried to touch the artwork. Great ambience, super clean and children's art section is very attractive to young learners.

Good place for those who like arts or people who like to take selfie. Other than art lover, this place also suitable for children to learn about art, especially contemporary art. In most of the paintings and sculptures, there are 2 explanations, the general description and the explanation for kids that use lighter and more interactive words. This museum have the collection of art from earlier time to modern time, which showed how arts are changing over time.
As this museum is mainly focus on contemporary art, some people will not find the paintings and sculptures are visually satisfying or meaningful. So, people with this opinion may see this museum as the place only for taking pictures. The placement of the paintings for visitor to see are little bit messy. For example, when you enter the museum, you can go to the right to see the mirror arts, go left to watch a video, or go straight to see the painting. So, in some point, the visitors may think where to go as there are so many ways to go. But, in overall, i like this place and recommend people to come here.

The best museum I've ever visited in Indonesia! Really love the experience during my exploration before get in and when inside the museum.
You can buy the ticket online or you can also buy it on the spot. If you have a plan to visit in holiday season, I think it'll convenient if you buy it online because they limit the ticket sales per day. Luckily, I went here in weekday, so it's not too crowded.
They also host museum tours daily, guided by the curators every 11am and 3pm. Sadly...I didn't get it in my visit, idk why there was no museum tour in the day I visited.
Looking forward to my next visit!

A privately owned Modern and Contemporary Art Museum in Indonesia. With more than 800 art pieces range from Indonesia, Europe, US, and Asia Pacific, with names from S. Sudjojono, Ai Weiwei, Yayoi Kusama, to Andy Warhol this museum is worth checking out for.
This museum set on 43,000 sq foot space and located in West Jakarta in newly built AKR Tower. Different from stereotype in Indonesia where museum is old and located in collonial building, this museum, which MET Studio handled the interiors, splash a modern and spacious atmosphere.
The museum has already held a view first sights to the public before its grand opening on November 4, 2017.
