If you'd like to take your kids on tour, reminiscing the old days, and knowing the history of Banking in Indonesia, then this museum is the right place.
The history is very clearly defined, the diorama is very good, as if you were taken back to the days where it all began.
The room sequence is also very good. Leads you from the beginning of banking history, till how it runs today.

Loved visit the museum. All the exhibits are well preserved. You can bring your children and teach them about banking in old days. You can explore all the rooms including underground level where there is a huge safe room. I mean very huge safe room. Its a lil bit creepy while you inside the safe room...

Actually, this museum offers huge collection of financial industry artefacts. But sadly it known better for its great-photo spot purpose.

Interesting museum, has many photo spot that instagramable enough. Recommend educational entertaiment for kids. Went there with my two brothers and they seems happy. The entrance fee is cheap too, also you can get student's discount if you bring your students card. Applied for college students too!

A day to this musuem, though not much amused, you can give a visit if you go to Old Jakarta. Only one thing, is that you can touch 13kg gold biscuit which you never get a chance any other time

Interesting place to come -with friends, family, even with your spouse. White-beuatiful building that so Instagram-able. The cafet also proper for lunch. Easy access from busway or Jakarta Kota station. Difable-friendly. Toddler-friendly. There is also a mosque to pray.

This museum has a lot of collections. Very well managed and clean.
Untari Ramadhani (07/07/2017 06:25)
Very well managed, for indonesian standard. The basement is very cool!! Although a little bit spooky if you go there alone

ANOTHER example of museum with lots of collections and minimum info. But the stained glass are exquisite. Oh. And the toilet is nice n clean.

Where you can find history of Mandiri bank. Entry price only IDR5000. If you have Mandiri card, just pay IDR2000. Last visit in several years ago, collection still alot.
Rini Pujiastuti (26/02/2017 07:19)
Entry fee Rp. 5.000 on Sunday.
It's mostly about the Bank's history and shows a lot of antique stuff.
I do love that the building is well kept.

Pros
1. Very informative museum that shows how's Mandiri Bank become one of the largest national bank
2. Has many collection to show
3. Rather than using modern technology, its standard use the statue and dioramas, but all them clean and neat
4. The museum doesn't has any modern renovation, so congratulations for you loved the old building here
Pros
1. Some part of the museum doesn't use the proper AC, just using the exhaust

Kind of fun. Many things to watch. Too bad my little girl was too tired to walk around so that she couldn't enjoy much.

Lovely building, preserved like in its heyday. You could almost imagine the bank still functioning. Collection of bank items are great but not as well cleaned and kept as they should be.

Compare to Indonesia Bank Museum (Museum Bank Indonesia) this museum is less attractive. But they have a human size on the floor diorama. The building itself still preserve their authenticity, including the interior, not like Museum Bank Indonesia which already have some spaces remodeled to showcase the history of Indonesia monetary.

This museum holds a paraphernalia of banking activities, back from early 20th century or perhaps before. This museum is free of charge when i visited it in January 2016 (hopefully it will stay free)
In my opinion the building itself is interesting to observe and explore, particularly for those who like old building architecture or those who like to see relics of life in early 1900s. This building features stained glass from the era which is still well preserved.
Compared to nearby Bank Indonesia museum, this building seems more gloomy inside, plus the air circulation is not very good in the basement level. There i could sense slightly damp air as well as some dust in the air, but i found these facts are not so distracting.

marcello stanley (03/02/2016 00:57)
nice building, but with minimal arrangement. sometimes it looks like as if Mandiri is a pack rat rather than creating a good. museum quality display
