I love staying here. The room were nice and clean, and breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a good sport club/gym, tennis courts, big swimming pool and loved the landscape garden. Highly recommended to stay at the Borobudur Hotel.

Kids friendly hotel. It has a child playground, swimming pool, and tennis field. Family room is a spacious one with full carpet floor. This is nice for my 1 yr old daughter who just learn to walk. The downside is only the parking lot is pretty far to walk

Located at very very straegic location at the heart of Central Jakarta. Hotel Borobudur is exotic, comfortable, prime service, easy to reach and easy to go to many tourist spots around it by public vehicle. The parking lots are more than adequate for your private vehicle. Oh yeah, their ox tail soup is legendary here. Must try!!!

A 4 star hotel that has the potential to upgrade to 5 stars. Rooms are large and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. You can do your jogging or morning walk in the gardens then jump in an impressive pool that is almost worthy of professional swimming competitions. Areas that could be easily improved are service and food. Service is nevertheless acceptable, but food is mediocre. Breakfast is shameful for a hotel this size and with such a large clientele. The only decent restaurant on the premises is the Chinese restaurant, but it is somewhat pricey. I would stay there again because of its location and beautiful grounds, but next time I will do my best to eat elsewhere.

Loved it. The bedroom and the services were great. I especially love the breakfast menus. It's in the city center too so it's close to many hip places, including Grand Indonesia Mall. But I noticed that the mobile signal reception in the lobby was not good (but it's probably my phone's operator fault) so I experienced some difficulties when ordering online taxis from the lobby.

Love the hotel so much. I've stayed here several times. It is a very old hotel, but very very well maintained. It's like staying in your rich grandma's house, it has that old luxurious warm you don't find in younger hotels. It has an Olympic size swimming pool and a new great spa facilities. The staffs were amazingly friendly, helpful and surely know how to treat guests well. The rate is also reasonable for the facilities you get.

A second largest Hotel after The Sultan with huge facilities. A swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball field, mini soccer field, volley ball field, gym, spa with two options (bali & Japan style), sauna, steam, whirlpool, beautiful jogging track, kids play ground. The hotel have hotels rooms and service apartment rent that started from idr 7million/day for 3 bedroom. This hotel bring the ambience of Javanese culture and you can do anything here. Super hotel!

Always love my stays here with the kids. They loves their swimming pool and playground area. Their bakery and pastry shop selection was also great with decent pricing. It had an 30% discount for purchase over 7pm. Will definitely stay here again.

Food and service are good. Facilities are high class and complete. Although, rooms are not up to 5 star 2017 standard

Five star hotel, nice rooms, great facility of meeting room, fast and free wi-fi acces. No wonder so many local and international people have their meetings here.

I like the jogging track, with all the birds, and big trees. You can forget that you're still in Jakarta.
Their wellness facilities is also very good. Particularly the gym, and sauna.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Jakarta. Easy to access and close to the train station and bus station. The hotel is big, green and secure. There is playground for the kids, the jogging track is good. The room is spacious, clean and tidy. The food is delicious and varied. Got the room with the views of Istiqlal Mosque and Cathedral Church, beautiful.
Stayed one night for attending wedding ceremony.

For a famous and historical hotel like Hotel Borobudur I can only give 2 stars for several reasons:
1. The toilet flush is broken and the carpet was dusty.
2. The TV remote did not work and dusty.
3. This is the most disappointing part: I found a little cockroach near the pancake stall. Disgusting!
4. The internet connection is unstable.

Hotel is dated but gym, pool and restaurants are excellent. Also. It is a bit far from the city center buy otherwise a nice place to stay for business.
Ersandi Al Asra (24/08/2017 00:37)
One of the oldest five star hotel in town. The service, rooms, facilities are good. It offers a very spacious area for jogging and various sport facilities. The parking lot is so spacious. At the back of the hotel it has a masjid. It offers a nice interior design

Love this hotel for the famous oxtail soup... real legend! Also it is "conveniently" not located in Thamrin-Sudirman-Kuningan, so normally no traffic near this hotel. I haven't stayed here recently, but the lobby and ballrooms are nicely appointed and feels exquisite.
Radityo Hutomo (05/07/2017 12:18)
The hotel may look old-fashioned, but the room is great. Nice jogging track, have some function rooms for events or business meetings. The legendary oxtail soup at Bogor Cafe is definitely something you must not miss.

Nice hotel but abit dated. The facilities are nice and so is the swimming pool. The buffet however is a bit of a letdown actually.

ubay 001 (04/01/2017 18:26)
Oldie beautiful hotel, great facilities and beautiful rooms inside. Great place to stay in Jakarta and the restaurant is the best. Lovely taste of food
Frederick Setjadiningrat (25/12/2016 08:20)
Great hospitality. Good room & good location. However, they consistently missing the little details that will make a superb experience. Most of the time, the facilities. Such a pity, attentiveness and empathy go a long way in the industry.
Also, the food not much to praise. Except the famous oxtail soup in Cafe Bogor restaurant (the place for breakfast too). 2-3 things will be yummy, some will be good, the rest big majority will be bland.

At first glace, you can tell tht the hotel is relatively big. I realized the truth after walking from the parking lot to the hotel lobby (gosh!). I hoped they build an underground parking lot like most hotel in jakarta did-and perhaps just sell that land or build something else on it. The service is quite good although it is quite dissapointing that the renowed 5-star-hotel did not offer options for early breakfast, they only offered pastry. Meanwhile even a 3-star-hotel in Indonesia would usually offer fried rice or steamed rice with any compliments.
I ordered in room dining and tried both food from the Chinese cuisine and Italian cuisine. The Chinese cuisine was fantastic, even though it was just a shrimp roll. On the other hand the Italian cuisine is kind of a let down. Out of 8 portion of Pizza I barely ate 1 and it was so ordinary.
Pros: Big-big room (of course) and fantastic Chinese cuisine.
Cons: Bad service and ordinary Italian cuisine.
