Good place for hang with friends post work! Good ambience! Haven't tried what goes out of the kitchen tho, so 4 Stars for the crowd and the service, might gone 5 stars later after my second visit!

Love this place!
came here on Monday night (where the next day is May Day) and I'm glad the DJ played top hits music.
Alright here's my reviews in ratings:
1. Price: 3.5/5; Yes, it's mostly expensive if you compare to other Indonesian Local Bar, but it's a standard price compare to other high-end bar/club in Jakarta. You can check the menu price at Zomato App
2. People: 4/5; The staff is nice and helpful. Mostly foreigners who come here, so I like the atmosphere cos it's so diverse.
I have no problem at all with the security, maybe because it wasn't too crowded so they didn't really check my purse.
3. Place: 5/5; Placed in the center of Kuningan, easy access and classy interior.
++ What to Expect: Since they can be pretty tight with the dress code (it applies to most bars/clubs in Jakarta) Sandals are prohibited. Shoes/heels are highly recommended. For attire, you can basically wear a smart casual attire, I heard they don't allow t-shirt & short for men (and I don't see anyone wear those). Please note that people who come here are pretty dress-up, so wear your best!
Also, I can see there are some hookers, so don't fall into the trap. Unless you're looking for one, then that's totally up to you haha.
Overall, my experience here was great and definitely will come back here again!

Let's say this place is one of my inner circle base camp. Been there since no one knows it until now. It's become too crowded lately :( gotta need to find new base camp. Lol.
Good place to catch up with your friends, good food, good music and oh! Don't forget to dance!

huge disappointment, i made my reservartion through phone and they didnt write it. When am confront with them, they create story. Said that the phone was suddenly cut off and theres another call after, that canceling the reservation. Wich completly lie.

Has been one of the “happening” places for a while now. Dinner place in early evening, followed by drinking and clubbing crowd from 11pm onwards. Popular with professionals and expats looking to socialise and meet new people. Live music on Mon and Tue, DJ on other days. Friendly service staff, decent food, nice ambience, central location. I think Basque will be around for a while.

I used to like this place but decided to stop going there after a bartender dropped my drink order and forces me to pay for it. She said it's the company "rule" if the bartender drop the drink the costumer still need to pay.
After a few months, me and a couple friends decided to have after dinner drink at Basque. Apparently, they have a new fashion rules.
For LADIES: no sandals (this include gladiator sandal), no flat shoes (the one that covers your feet its an Ok), no shorts (even if you paired it with high heels and it's the same short you wore when they let you inside a couple months ago), very revealing dress/outfit (maybe she meant a bikini?).
For BOYS: No Shorts and sandal. (You see the differenc?)
Well, as a former paying costumer I DO NOT recommend this place to anybody who want to spent their money for drinks and good atmosphere because this place can be over crowded, slow service and ridiculous fashion rules which is very unfriendly toward women.

On the upper floor with a bit of a view, the ambiance is that of a castle's cellar converted to an airy bar/restaurant. Great food and apparently a great place to dance on the weekends according to my friend.
Warning: Dresscode is in effect even in the afternoons.

This bar is just fantastic. Decent mix in crowd, good vibes, nice music, interesting interior, not too expensive, fascinating ambience. Great place to party.

One of the best smart casual bars I've seen in Jakarta so far. Located on the 8th floor but with the brick and timber decor of a wine cellar, this place is sparkles with relaxed intimacy.
No dress code on the Thursday evening I went. The nachos were fantastic! I am definitely returning to try the rest of the menu.
Ayush Chauhan (08/09/2017 05:29)
Brilliant tapas, a fantastic G&T (gin and tonic) artistry bar, and a great vibe. The restaurant is on the 8th floor of a commercial building and so stands alone. But big on the inside, and fills out to a great crowd. A definite hang out if you are in downtown Jakarta.

I came just for a couple of mintutes to give my boss a document for signing it while he was having a dinner in Basque. I was wearing strict office clothes. But my shoes were without high heels. I was stopped by security guard who did not want to let me in. He called a receptionist who told me that women in flat shoes are not allowed in Basque. It's a sexism! It is unappropriate. I suggest to the male owners of Basque to dance for 2 hours on high heels and then decide whether to keep that stupid policy. Especially it was rude because i came quite early around 7pm and it was not a clubbing time yet. Too rude!!!

The layout of the bar does not work well. The atmosphere is disjointed, and it's easy for a few people to make a bad night for many. The drinks are OK, but they don't know how to make a good whisky sour for example. Wish it was better.
aryo bagaskara (31/07/2017 06:24)
The ambience is great though a bit dark. You simply feel in a Spanish bar once you're in. The food is great, rich in flavors, and served in quite big portion. So if you're in hungry tummy mode this is a definitely great option for you.
Psymon Peers (29/07/2017 15:54)
Shocking service at the bar, waited 20 for a table and didn't manage to get a drink. Once seated though flood and drinks came quickly. Cocktails were hit an miss and lacked consistency. Food was very good, the salmon was a highlight. Try and get sity as your waitress. Kinda smokey not unbearable but eye wateringly noticeable.
Wibisana Jusuf (23/07/2017 07:58)
One of the hippest and best tapas bar in Indonesia. Great food, love their tapas and sopa mariscos. Great pork dishes, too! Must not miss their alcoholic drinks. Great daily DJ performances, too! 👍🍹
Didik Prasetyo (14/06/2017 15:35)
The atmosphere is very nice and food also great, with a good service.. pls be ware of no sandal policy..
Theresia Listya (12/06/2017 07:09)
Its ok. Music wasnt very good. Drinks were good. Very crowded. During ramadhan month they only ope until 1 a.m. no sandals allowed.
Rahul Chawra (07/06/2017 02:43)
Love the setting and the service. The food was really impressive as well. I'm surely coming back.
Wini Rizkiningayu (29/05/2017 16:39)
Good tapas and nice ambience
George Do (30/04/2017 12:56)
Terrible experience. Got there and the guy at the door held his hand out like he was some kind of traffic police.
Turns out they have a no sandals policy. My mom was wearing dressy sandals. Fine, but the problem is it doesn't say that anywhere on their website at all.
If you have a dress code because you want to be faux exclusive, it is should be front and center on the website. Customers aren't mind readers and aren't going to be able to tell if you have a moronic dress code that you don't share with anyone.
We live nearby and if the food was good we would have become regulars. Too bad this restaurant with their ridiculous dress code thinks they're too good for us.
Terrible experience.

Funky place with good edgy food and a nice wine selection
Simon Ravhøj (23/01/2017 09:22)
Very nice place. The food I had in the pic was very deli. 211.000 rp for this. Price is okay for a western restaurant.
If you smoke you will get a nice spot. If not it's a little meh.
esty anindita (03/01/2017 00:31)
Nice place with good ambience. Food and service was excellent. The pork chop, roasted lamb, and the pannacotta is delicious
BeiXian Tang (16/11/2016 09:49)
Came here for drinks on a Saturday night! Decent wine, but the music more than makes up for it. It's a little smoky, as is all of Jakarta but there's still lots of fun to be had!
Cornellia Widiastuti (01/10/2016 13:11)
I finally have found an authentic Spanish food in Jakarta. Best tapas and paella in Jakarta indeed, great fnb menu, fantastic deserts. But remember that they have a limited 2hrs seating time frame on busy hours, so reservation is required. Almost taking one star off but it's too awesome.
Ray Kailimang (19/08/2016 02:51)
great food, good staff, very cozy place and easy to find parking at the moment!
Aldred Benedict (13/08/2016 14:02)
Tried this place after seeing many positive reviews. Ordered the Seafood Paella which reviewers seem to be crazy about, yet it is average for me. Ambience is very good, however price/food taste ratio is not really good
Alex Arifin (01/08/2016 15:59)
Decent ambiance, prices okay, music good
Anastasia Pamela (28/07/2016 15:33)
The Spanish food here is delicious! Especially seafood paella, which is super i could eat a whole skillet.
It has glass rooftop, which is the most comfortable alfresco dining experience that you can get in jakarta, with hot humid weather and all.

Starting March 14th, 2016, the discerning crowd of Jakarta can experience the genuine Basque experience unlike any has ever seen before in Basque: Bar de Tapas. Perfectly nestled on the 8th Floor of Noble House, Mega Kuningan, it's the spot to meet new people and socialize.
Enjoy the chef's signature dishes, or chat the night away with cold refreshment in hand accompanied by fresh supply of tapas and pintxos (available between 5 to 8pm). It is just what the doctor's ordered to relieve the stress of a day's work.
