This is the oldest school in Aceh and second oldest in Sumatera. It was established during Dutch ruthless colonial era. The initial aim of this school establishment was to produce a continuous influx of employees who maintained and submit to the colonial authority. Nowadays this school is one of a prestigious school in Banda Aceh, with a high rate of competitiveness to get admission here. The building became a heritage building, due to its unique Roman architectural style. I believe beside its function as the place to educate youth, this place could become a potential tourist attraction too, especial!y during weekend.

Inilah SMA Negeri tertua di Banda Aceh saya menimba ilmu disini sejak 1959 s/d 1962. Sungguh menyenangkan.
